Randi K. from Norwood, PA with the question:
"How can I kid-proof my bathroom? We put things up and away, but I don't like that our son can still get into things."
As the contest winner, Randi will recieve six of the safe and convenient Tap Lights! A prize worth over $50. These portable lights can be used to illuminate hard-to-light areas and as motion detector lights.
Here is what Barbara had to say:
Dear Randi,
Thank you for entering our Ask Barbara Contest.
My suggestion is to put childproof latches on your drawers and doors. We have some that are very reasonably priced. In fact, we have a bulk package that you could split with a friend or use to child proof other rooms of your home. I will write a blog on this in the near future as well. For outlets, we also have the sockitlockit plugs which he would not be able to remove. There are no childproof outlet covers for GFI outlets.
If you have more questions, please send them along to us. We do recommend installing these units when your child is not in the room. Don't want to help them learn how to un-do your efforts!
